Ukraine is developing modern weapons technologies, including its own laser weapon called Tryzub.
According to Vadym Sukharevsky, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukraine is the fifth country to possess a laser weapon capable of shooting down air targets at an altitude of more than 2 km, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
A project to use queen drones, which are FPV carriers, is also underway to increase the depth of damage.
“They carry two FPVs under them and actually act as a repeater and hit deep enemy targets. As for me, this is really a breakthrough,” Sukharevsky said.
Speaking in general about the Unmanned Systems Forces, the commander noted that “we are less than six months old,” and at this stage there are already combat and scientific units “that cover the air, land and water component.”
