Following meetings with the American team, several draft documents have been prepared, including on security guarantees for Ukraine, recovery, and a basic framework for ending the war. The points are formulated in such a way as to correspond to the task of actually ending the war and preventing a new Russian invasion.
This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on social media. According to him, a detailed report on the results of the negotiations was presented by Rustem Umerov and Andriy Hnatov, and the work with representatives of US President Donald Trump was productive and added security to Ukrainian interests.
Zelensky also thanked European partners for their support and coordination and stressed the importance of continuing dialogue with America. He emphasised that diplomacy must go hand in hand with pressure on Russia and support for Ukraine, as every Russian strike and assault on the front line demonstrates the need to increase international pressure on the aggressor.
