Ukraine and Norway have agreed to jointly produce Ukrainian drones. The agreement was signed by Ukraine’s Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal and Norway’s Defence Minister Tore Sandvik.

Shmyhal announced that the document marks an important step toward expanding Ukraine’s defence capabilities and strengthening national security. The next stage is to rapidly deploy a pilot production line in 2026 while simultaneously working to increase manufacturing capacity.

Ukraine will share its experience and innovations in unmanned technologies with Norway. In return, it will receive a strong production platform that will supply Ukrainian forces with modern drones, as well as research and development cooperation with leading Norwegian institutions.

Shmyhal emphasised that this project exemplifies the kind of cooperation Ukraine is building with its partners — collaboration that strengthens the defence capabilities of all nations in the free world. He thanked Norway for its support.
