The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv said it had received information about a possible “potentially significant air attack” that could occur within the next 24 hours. American citizens were urged to be prepared to immediately seek shelter in the event of an air raid alert.
The warning was published by the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
“The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv has received information concerning a potentially significant air attack that may occur at any time over the next 24 hours,” the embassy said.
The embassy advised U.S. citizens to identify shelter locations in advance, install reliable air raid alert apps on their phones, and immediately respond to air raid warnings.
Americans were also urged to monitor local media, be ready to adjust their plans, and keep reserves of water, food, and medication.
“Immediately take shelter if an air alert is announced,” the embassy stressed.
In addition, citizens were advised to follow the instructions of Ukrainian authorities and emergency responders in the event of an emergency.
