Trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States and Russia that were planned to take place in Turkey this week have been postponed. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the delay was initiated by the American side.

As reported by European Pravda, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this while answering journalists’ questions online.

According to him, the talks were planned for “Tuesday or Wednesday” in Turkey. However, they were postponed at the initiative of the United States due to the situation in the Middle East.

“We were ready to travel to Turkey. This meeting was postponed. It was the American side that suggested delaying it, saying: ‘Let’s do it next week.’ That is the information we have today,” Zelenskyy said.

The president added that conversations with the American side are taking place daily, so the date of the next meeting may still be уточнена.

Earlier, Zelenskyy said that during a phone call Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed readiness to host the next round of talks in a trilateral format.
