        On the third anniversary of the liberation of Bucha from the Russian occupiers, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska paid tribute to the dead civilians. They installed lamps at the memorial on the territory of the Church of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called and All Saints of the OCU, the Presidential Office reports.

        The event was attended by delegations from the parliaments of Belgium, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Spain, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Sweden, Finland, Croatia, the Czech Republic, and the United States, as well as representatives of the European Parliament. Among those present were the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak and local authorities.

        Bucha was under occupation for 33 days – from 27 February to 31 March 2022. During this time, Russian troops killed 561 civilians, including 12 children.
