The first assault motorcycle unit in the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been created as part of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment ‘Skala’.
This was reported by the unit’s press service.
The published videos show large groups of motorcycles in action, with two fighters on each: a driver and a gunner, both armed with AK-74U assault rifles. This configuration allows them to fire while moving and, after stopping, to act as a combat pair.
The assault is practised under smoke cover. Although the method of setting up the smoke cover is not shown, it is likely that drones are used to drop smoke grenades.
The main objective of the company is to carry out rapid breakthroughs across open areas with minimal time under enemy fire and quick capture of positions.
