Drones attacked two tankers in Taganrog Bay for the second night in a row. The vessels sustained mechanical damage, and their crews were evacuated.

Yury Slyusar, governor of Russia’s Rostov region, said this.

According to him, no one was injured in the attack. A fire is still being extinguished on one of the tankers, while the fire on the second has already been put out.

The previous morning, the Rostov governor also reported two tankers in the Taganrog Bay of the Sea of Azov that were heading to Rostov-on-Don and were damaged in a UAV attack.

Ukraine has not commented on the Russian side’s statements.

On Wednesday, the Security Service of Ukraine said its Sea Baby naval drone had attacked the Blue, a shadow fleet tanker, in the Black Sea.

On Tuesday, July 7, the Yasa Tanker was also attacked in the Black Sea. The vessel had been chartered by the U.S. company Chevron to transport oil from the Caspian Pipeline Consortium terminal near Novorossiysk.

This was reported by the vessel’s management company. Ukraine did not comment on that attack. The vessel was empty and drifting in the open sea.
