Today, on January 30, around 00:30, a Russian UAV hit a ten-story building in Sumy. The bodies of two people were recovered from the rubble, and nine people are known to be injured.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The attack preliminarily destroyed nine apartments and 12 balconies.
In the morning, the bodies of two victims, a man and a woman, were pulled from the rubble. Rescuers managed to save four people, including one child, and 118 people were evacuated.
Rescuers have set up a mobile resilience center at the scene, with psychologists and medics from the State Emergency Service working there. Two canine teams have been engaged, and equipment for high-altitude work is in operation.
“According to preliminary information, nine people were injured, including one child. Rescue and search operations are ongoing,” the SES said.
