Security Service counterintelligence detained in Kharkiv enemy henchman who worked for the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.

About it reports the press service of the SBU.

“He turned out to be a 72-year-old scientist-mechanic, who by order of the Russians developed drawings for the improvement of drones-kamikaze type “Shahed”. In particular, he worked on the modernization of engines and catapult installations”, – stated in the message.

According to investigators, the defendant remotely transferred technological developments to his acquaintance, the general director of a Russian machine-building plant that produces units for drones.

This enterprise has been working closely with a Russian company producing Shahed-type attack drones since 2023.

As the investigation established, the scientist involved in the design work his former student, who fled from the Kharkiv region to the Russian Federation at the beginning of the full-scale war.

There, he took a job at a Moscow technological university, where he is developing drones for Russians.

The attacker is in custody. He faces 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
