The Security Service of Ukraine struck the Saky military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea. The operation targeted the airfield’s infrastructure, including hangars where aircraft were stored.

        The SBU reported this.

According to the security service, the strike was carried out as part of a 40-day influence operation against Russia, which the SBU is conducting on the instructions of President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The SBU confirmed five drone hits on hangars containing aviation equipment.

According to preliminary information, Russian Su-30 and Su-30SM fighter jets were inside two of the hangars at the time of the strike.

After the attack, a fire was recorded in the hangar where the Su-30SM was located. The SBU said this indicates the target was successfully hit.

The estimated cost of each such aircraft ranges from $30 million to $50 million, depending on configuration.

The SBU stressed that it is systematically destroying the military potential of Russian occupation forces both on the front line and in the enemy’s rear.

“No hangars or shelters will help — the SBU will reach the enemy everywhere,” the security service said.
