The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) exposed another Russian agent working in the State Space Agency of Ukraine. He had access to classified information about strategic enterprises and satellite images that could be used for Russian strikes on critical facilities.

The man was detained during a meeting at the Ministry of Strategic Industries.

According to the investigation, the FSB recruited him in 2024 through his wife, who lives in Rostov-on-Don and cooperates with the occupiers. The agent passed on information to the enemy about the location of military-industrial complex facilities, warehouses and the production of high-precision weapons. He received money for his work, and after retiring in 2025, he planned to move to Russia.

However, the SBU controlled his activities and even used him to disinform Russians, passing on information favourable to Ukraine through him.

During the search, the SBU found a phone with correspondence in anonymous chats and emails through which he communicated with his curators.

He was served a notice of suspicion of high treason under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code), which provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property. The issue of a measure of restraint is currently being decided – it is likely to be detention.
