S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 may be developed into a TV series

The Ukrainian computer game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 by GSC Game World has already made a profit thanks to pre-sales. This was announced by the studio’s owner Maxim Krippa in an interview with Forbes.

“We have already sold enough copies to make the project profitable. The team worked almost around the clock before the release. We wanted to give the country hope and pride, to show that Ukrainians are capable of creating projects of such a high level,” Krippa said.

The studio’s future plans include creating a series based on the game for the Netflix platform. Krippa compared the prospects of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 to the project of the Polish company CD Projekt Red, which adapted the Witcher books into a popular game and TV series.

“S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has the same perspective, only Ukrainian. I would like us to get the series on Netflix. Negotiations are already underway, but no decision has been made yet,” said the studio owner.
