Russia’s massive attack on Odesa: a house burned down, 13 people were injured, including rescuers

On the night of June 20, the Russian Federation massively attacked Odesa with attack drones. More than 10 hits were recorded, and large-scale fires broke out. There are victims.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

A 23-storey residential building was damaged – the fire engulfed the 18th, 19th and 20th floors. 600 residents were evacuated. Three people were rescued from a blocked apartment, including two children. Fires also engulfed five other residential buildings and three cars.

The fire completely destroyed a four-story residential building. Rescuers rescued three people and evacuated six others.

“During the firefighting and rescue operations, structures collapsed on the rescuers, injuring three firefighters, who are now in stable condition in the hospital,” the SES said.

The SES has set up an Unbreakable Point at the site of the partially destroyed building. According to residents, there may be one more person in the building – search and rescue operations are underway. A total of 13 people were injured, including three rescuers.

According to Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov, high-rise buildings, cars and university buildings were damaged in the city center. On the coast, a fire broke out due to the crash of an attack UAV, and the blast wave damaged recreational facilities. Buildings of the old housing stock were also damaged. A gas pipeline was damaged in another area of the city.
