Russians Kill Two Civilians in Toretsk

On 21 November 2024, at approximately 18:00, Russian forces committed yet another violation of international humanitarian law, according to an investigation by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.

Russian servicemen reportedly entered an apartment in a residential area of Toretsk, where three civilians were present. The occupants intentionally opened fire with automatic weapons, killing two local residents on the spot. Another man sustained serious injuries, including fractures to his shoulder and collarbone.

The injured man is currently receiving medical treatment.

Law enforcement agencies are conducting investigative and search operations to clarify all the details of the incident.

“Under the procedural supervision of the Bakhmut District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into violations of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the Prosecutor’s Office stated.
