According to the investigation, cited by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, on 8 March at around 15:00, the Russian army shelled the village of Kivsharivka in Kupiansk district with artillery.
A 41-year-old man who was walking down the street at the time was killed. A school and residential buildings were damaged.
‘Under the procedural supervision of the Kupiansk District Prosecutor’s Office of Kharkiv Region, a pre-trial investigation was launched into the commission of a war crime that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),’ the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
