Russians attack Kharkiv with drones: residential buildings, a medical facility, and shops damaged, casualties reported

On the night of 1 March, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Kharkiv’s Kyivskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Novobavarskyi districts, as well as the Kharkiv region.

According to the Kharkiv police, approximately nine strikes were recorded. One of the munitions hit a previously damaged building in the city center, while another struck a three-story medical facility, igniting a fire on the roof. Rescuers, medics, police, and volunteers evacuated 64 people, including 56 patients and a child.

The strikes also hit areas near residential buildings, the roof of a multi-story building, a shopping center, shops, a petrol station, a car dealership, and other civilian infrastructure. Additionally, the fire and rescue station sustained damage, with shattered windows, doors, and gates.

Seven people were injured in the attack, suffering glass-related wounds and acute stress reactions.

Investigative teams, forensic experts, bomb disposal specialists, and emergency responders worked at the sites to collect evidence and document the aftermath of the assault.
