Russian troops have been ordered to increase the intensity of FPV drone strikes against civilian targets in Zaporizhzhia. To support this effort, occupying units have reportedly been promised additional supplies of kamikaze attack drones.
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (HUR).
According to HUR, units of Russia’s 58th Army have received orders to intensify FPV drone strikes deep into the operational rear of Ukraine’s Security and Defense Forces.
“According to information obtained by the Active Operations Department of the HUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the leaders of the Russian occupation forces are demanding, among other things, an escalation of terror in Zaporizhzhia — targeting any civilian facilities in the regional center,” the statement said.
To implement these plans, the occupying units have been promised increased deliveries of attack FPV drones.
HUR stated that this order reflects the dissatisfaction of the Russian leadership with the growing losses of the Russian army and the lack of results on the battlefield, particularly in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
