On the night of July 29, the Russian occupiers struck the Zaporizhia region. The Russian military targeted one of the region’s penitentiary institutions – 16 people were killed and 35 were injured.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhia regional military administration Ivan Fedorov.
“At night, the enemy shelled the Zaporizhia region eight times, previously with FABs. They also hit the correctional colony. 16 people died, 35 were injured,” the report says.
The premises of the institution were destroyed. Nearby private houses were damaged.
The injured are being provided with all necessary medical assistance.
