Over the past few days, Russian forces have intensively attacked the Kherson Thermal Power Plant. The occupiers have targeted the energy facility with drones, artillery, and other types of weaponry.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

“A completely civilian facility that provided heat to the city’s residents has suffered serious damage: the premises and equipment of the station have been damaged,” the report said.

The thermal power plant has been shut down. 470 buildings, or more than 40,500 subscribers, are now without heat.

The Regional State Administration is preparing for an operational meeting to discuss alternative heat supply options for those homes that were connected to the thermal power plant.

Resilience centers continue to operate in the city.
