Russian forces attacked a funeral procession in Sumy with an FPV drone. Four people were injured in the strike, including one person who is in critical condition.
The attack was reported by Sumy City Military Administration head Serhii Kryvosheienko.
According to him, a Russian FPV drone, reportedly guided via fiber-optic cable, struck a funeral convoy heading to one of the city’s cemeteries.
The munition exploded on the roadway near a bus carrying mourners.
Four people were injured in the attack.
All victims were taken to hospitals.
“One of them is in critical condition,” Kryvosheienko said.
Sumy regional governor Oleh Hryhorov described the strike as “cynical.”
“Today a Russian drone attacked a funeral convoy on the outskirts of Sumy,” he said.
According to Hryhorov, all victims are receiving necessary medical assistance.
Authorities and emergency services are currently establishing all circumstances and consequences of the strike.
Officials also warned that the threat of repeated Russian attacks remains high and urged residents not to ignore air raid alerts.
