During the night of June 2, Russian forces attacked Dnipro using a double-tap strike tactic. Six people were killed and 36 residents were injured.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
While emergency crews were dealing with the aftermath of the attack, State Emergency Service units came under a second strike. One rescuer was killed as a result. In Dnipro, a two-story and a four-story apartment building were partially destroyed, an enterprise was damaged, and garages and vehicles were destroyed.
According to Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration head Oleksandr Hanzha, a 22-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman are in serious condition. Twenty-four people, including a 16-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl, were hospitalized in moderate condition.
In Kamianske, an administrative building and apartment buildings were damaged. Three people were injured. A 50-year-old man and women aged 49 and 72 were taken to hospital in moderate condition.
Rescuers extinguished fires caused by the attack. A search-and-rescue operation is currently ongoing. According to preliminary information, people may remain trapped under the rubble of the destroyed four-story building in Dnipro. Canine teams and psychologists from the State Emergency Service are working at the scene.
