        Russia strikes Sumy with five guided aerial bombs: casualties and damage reported

        On the night of August 10, Russian forces carried out a massive air strike on Sumy. Five people were injured in the attack.

        This was reported by the head of the Sumy City Military Administration, Serhii Kryvosheienko.

        Explosions were heard in Sumy at around 03:00. Russian forces carried out five strikes with guided aerial bombs on the city’s civilian infrastructure. Hits were recorded at three locations in the Zarichnyi and Kovpakivskyi districts.

        The bombing damaged private homes, apartment buildings and infrastructure facilities. Five people were injured, and their condition is being clarified.

        Emergency services are working at the strike sites.

        According to the National Police, over the past day two people were killed and ten others were injured as a result of Russian attacks on Sumy region. In the Berezivska community, a 19-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were killed by a drone strike; in the Romenska community, two women aged 74 and 54 were injured; in the Seredyna-Budska community, three men and two women were wounded; in the Hlukhivska community, a 74-year-old man was injured, in the Krolevetska community — a woman, and in the Mykolaivska rural community — a man.
