On July 13, Russia struck a civilian merchant vessel sailing under the flag of Togo in the Odesa region. Three crew members were killed in the attack, and others were injured.

This was reported by Ukraine’s Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksii Kuleba.

Russia attacked the civilian merchant vessel under the flag of Togo while it was unloading mineral fertilizers.

A fire broke out after the vessel’s superstructure was hit. Three crew members were killed.

Five more sailors were injured. All of them were hospitalized and are receiving the necessary medical care.

According to the state enterprise Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, port infrastructure facilities and other civilian sites within the port areas were also damaged.

“In just a few days, Russian terror has already claimed six lives. They were port workers, drivers and sailors who were doing their jobs and had nothing to do with combat operations,” the statement said.
