Today, 27 October, the enemy launched an air strike on energy objects of critical infrastructure in the Romny district of Sumy Region, using UAVs of the Shahed type.
According to the State Emergency Situations Service, there were fires in the residential sector. Rescuers localised the fires, preventing their further spread and extinguished the fires.
The same night rescuers together with workers of the voluntary fire brigade tamed fires of citizens’ houses in one of the settlements of Shostka district, which was caused by enemy shelling.
In the course of anti-aircraft battles by the AFU Ground Forces combat units and volunteers destroyed 3 Russian drones, the Sumy Military Administration reported.
In total, at night and in the morning, the Russians made 37 shellings of border territories and settlements of Sumy region. 48 explosions were recorded. Sumy, Khotyn, Yunakiv, Miropol, Rechkiv, Bilopol, Shalygyn, Esman, Yampol communities and Romny district were subjected to shelling.
