Emergency and rescue operations are ongoing in Kyiv and Kyiv region following a massive Russian attack on September 30. Three people were killed and six injured in the capital, while a Russian strike in Vyshhorod killed a child.
This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko and Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
According to police, Russian forces attacked ten regions of Ukraine and Kyiv with missiles and drones overnight. Residential buildings, a shopping and entertainment center, administrative buildings, energy facilities and outbuildings came under attack.
A child was killed in Vyshhorod as a result of a Russian strike.
In the morning, a Russian drone attacked a supermarket in the Obukhiv district of Kyiv region. A fire broke out in the building and was later extinguished by rescuers. A woman was injured — she was diagnosed with an acute stress reaction and a hypertensive crisis.
Three local residents were injured in Brovary as a result of the attack. Two men sustained shrapnel wounds, while another victim is still being diagnosed.
In Kyiv, according to the latest data from Vitali Klitschko, three people were killed in the September 30 attacks. Another six residents of the capital were injured, three of whom are being treated in city hospitals.
Among the injured is rescuer Volodymyr Skovorodka, who came under a second strike while helping victims. He is also known as an athlete who set a Ukrainian record several years ago by running more than 60 kilometers in full firefighting gear in memory of fallen colleagues.
In the Solomianskyi district of the capital, a 12-story non-residential building was hit. According to preliminary information, no fire broke out there.
In the Pecherskyi district, debris fell into the yard of a private building.
Rescuers, police officers and other emergency services are working at the strike sites. Law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of the Russian attacks and accepting reports from residents about damaged or destroyed property.
