On April 23, Russian forces launched a drone strike on civilian transportation infrastructure in the Zhytomyr region. One woman was killed in the attack.
This was reported by the head of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration, Vitaliy Bunechko.
Rescue workers, repair crews, and law enforcement officers are working at the site of the strike. Work is ongoing to address the aftermath of the shelling.
As a reminder, on April 22, a Russian UAV attacked a rail yard at the Zaporizhzhia-Liva station. At the time of the strike, a train with an electric locomotive was on the tracks. The engineer was injured, and his assistant was killed.
According to the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, more than 600 attacks have been recorded since the beginning of this year, and more than 1,800 facilities have been damaged.
