Russian forces carried out strikes on Kharkiv and settlements across the region over the past day. As a result of the attacks, one person was killed and 27 others were injured, including 9 children — all of them in Kharkiv.
This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office and head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov.
The largest number of casualties was recorded in Kharkiv. In the Saltivskyi district, a Russian strike hit a nine-story residential building. According to investigators, the attack occurred at around 4:00 a.m.
As a result of the strike in the city, 25 people were injured, including nine children aged from 3 to 15. People sustained injuries and acute stress reactions.
Among the injured children were boys and girls aged from 3 to 15. Some of them received medical assistance at the scene, while others were hospitalized.
In addition, damage was reported in Kharkiv to five apartment buildings, 15 vehicles, a civilian enterprise, six private houses, four outbuildings and a shop.
According to the regional authorities, Russian forces also attacked 12 settlements in the Kharkiv region during the day. In the village of Shestakove, Starosaltivska community, a 67-year-old man was killed, and a 65-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction.
Law enforcement officials said that Russian forces used various types of weapons against the region, including six guided aerial bombs, two Molniya-type UAVs, six FPV drones and 69 drones of unspecified type.
Damage was also recorded in the Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk, Izium, Kharkiv, Lozova and Chuhuiv districts.
Prosecutors have launched criminal proceedings over the war crime and are documenting the consequences of the Russian attack.
