Ukrainian forces have reported successfully repelling a Russian assault in Donetsk region. According to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR), the joint operation involved units of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK), the “Bratstvo” formation of HUR’s “Timur” Special Unit, as well as troops from the 5th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They managed to halt a Russian breakthrough attempt and prevent enemy forces from advancing towards the Dnipropetrovsk region.

During the fighting, RDK fighters captured 16 Russian servicemen. Among the detainees, according to Ukrainian officials, were soldiers tasked with filming staged videos of alleged “captures” of Ukrainian settlements, including the village of Andriivka-Klevtsove (so-called “flag-planters”).

Released footage shows intense infantry assaults, Ukrainian tank crews in action, drone strikes, and the capture of Russian prisoners.
