Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said he does not rule out a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to him, for this to happen, the Ukrainian leader must come to Moscow.
Putin stated this during a press conference on September 3. According to the Russian dictator, he does not exclude the possibility of a meeting with Zelenskyy, but he does not know “whether there is any point in it.”
“As for meetings with Zelenskyy, I have not ruled them out. Whether there is any sense in such meetings,” Putin said.
He also stated that the President of Ukraine must come to Moscow if he is “ready” for the meeting.
“If Zelenskyy wants, if he is ready, let him come to Moscow, we will meet,” Putin said.
As a reminder, on August 18 U.S. President Donald Trump announced that after a conversation with Putin, he began preparations for a meeting between the leaders of Ukraine and Russia. After that, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said such negotiations “require thorough preparation.” Meanwhile, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that it is Russia that is blocking the meeting.
