Russian President Vladimir Putin said that all of the Kremlin’s plans to create advanced weapons systems are being fulfilled and that the country has begun serial production of new missile complexes. The statement was reported by Russian state media.

According to Putin, serial production of the “Oreshnik” missile complex has already begun, while the intercontinental ballistic missiles “Sarmat” will enter combat duty in 2026.

The president also confirmed the testing of the “Poseidon” and “Burevestnik” systems, calling them “long-planned work.” He claimed that Russia “is developing its nuclear potential, just like other nuclear powers,” and “poses no threat to anyone.”

Putin stated that the “Burevestnik” has allegedly surpassed all known missile systems in the world in terms of flight range, while the speed of the underwater drone “Poseidon” “is several times higher than that of modern surface ships.”

The Russian leader emphasized that “a huge technological foundation has been created for the future,” noting that all materials used are of “domestic production.” He added that the technologies developed for these systems could be used in drone manufacturing and Arctic operations.

Putin thanked the defense industry teams involved in the development of the “Burevestnik” and “Poseidon” systems and said that a new generation of Russian weapons is already under development.
