A fire broke out at an oil refinery in the city of Novokuibyshevsk in Russia’s Samara region following an attack. At the same time, regional authorities confirmed the attack but did not report a strike on the facility.
According to the OSINT project ASTRA, the attack in Novokuibyshevsk caused a fire at JSC “Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery.”
According to the analyst, eyewitness videos were filmed on Stroiteley Street approximately two kilometers from the facility. One of the strikes hit the southern part of the refinery.
Earlier, Samara region governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev confirmed an attack on the region but did not report a strike on the refinery. According to him, a drone fell near a maternity hospital in Novokuibyshevsk, and windows were shattered in the building. There were no casualties, and patients and children were transferred to nearby medical facilities.
JSC “Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery” is part of Rosneft.
The plant has been targeted multiple times, including in October and November 2025.
