On December 31, Russian troops launched a missile attack on the Shostka community in Sumy region, which led to significant destruction of infrastructure, damage to high-rise buildings, educational institutions, and social facilities.

“Today, on December 31, the enemy launched a missile attack on the infrastructure of the Shostka community. The consequences of the Russian attack are being clarified.”
The head of the community, Mykola Noga, noted that the attack caused significant damage. Some infrastructure facilities were destroyed. 12 multi-storey residential buildings, 2 educational institutions and other social facilities were damaged.
“Emergency rescue units are working. Damage and losses are being clarified.”
As of 9:00 a.m., the Sumy Military Administration reported that rocket attacks on the Shostka community continued and urged residents to stay in shelters.
