The Netherlands will allocate €25 million to Ukraine to restore and strengthen its energy system. The funds will be used to purchase equipment, carry out emergency repairs, and buy gas.

This was announced by Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel on social media X.

The €25 million from the Netherlands is planned to be spent on equipment, emergency repairs, and gas purchases for Ukraine. The Foreign Ministry also stressed that strong pressure on Russia is vital.

The minister noted that the Netherlands will participate in the initial stages of establishing a Special Tribunal for Russia’s crime of aggression.

“We must ensure that Russia’s war crimes do not go unpunished,” added the Dutch foreign minister.

On October 24, German Energy Minister Katerina Reiche announced the allocation of €60 million for the restoration of Ukraine’s energy sector.
