Several countries and alliances have announced new aid packages for Ukraine — from defence support to funding urgent energy repairs. The Verkhovna Rada reported on decisions by Nordic and Baltic NATO states, Germany, the United Kingdom and Italy.

The statement was published on the official channel of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. According to the announcement, international partners strengthened their support for Ukraine this week in the fields of defence, energy and humanitarian assistance.

Nordic and Baltic NATO countries — Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden — announced a $500 million package under the PURL initiative. The funds will go towards purchasing military equipment and ammunition.

The Budget Committee of the Bundestag approved the 2026 federal budget, which includes a record €11.5 billion in assistance for Ukraine. An additional €3 billion will be allocated for artillery, drones, armoured vehicles and the replacement of two Patriot systems.

The United Kingdom approved a £13 million package to support urgent repairs of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure to ensure light and heat throughout the winter.

Italy is preparing its 12th defence package and will provide additional energy and humanitarian support: generators, technologies for restoring power plants, as well as financial and technical assistance.
