The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office announced their suspicion of the leader of one of the parliamentary factions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in offering illegal benefits to Ukrainian MPs.

        This was reported by NABU.

The anti-corruption authorities did not name the suspect, but Yulia Tymoshenko had previously reported searches by NABU in the Batkivshchyna office.

“After the NABU and SAP uncovered facts in December 2025 about Ukrainian MPs receiving illegal benefits for passing bills in parliament, the suspect initiated negotiations with individual MPs on the introduction of a systematic mechanism for providing illegal benefits in exchange for loyal behavior during voting,” the NABU said.

According to the investigation, these were not one-off agreements, but a regular mechanism of cooperation, which provided for advance payments and was designed for a long period. People’s deputies were to receive instructions on how to vote, and in some cases, on how to abstain or not participate in the vote.

Qualification: Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

NABU has released a recording of the suspect’s conversations.
