Mykhailo Fedorov has accepted an offer from Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto to become his adviser on defence innovation. He will help Italy develop modern warfare technologies and adapt its defence sector to emerging security challenges.
Fedorov met Crosetto at the start of an international trip focused on developing new digitalisation and defence tech projects.
During the meeting, they discussed drones, autonomous systems, air defence and the development of the defence technology ecosystem.
According to Fedorov, Ukraine has unique experience in technology-driven warfare that it is ready to share with its partners. He believes this experience could form the basis of a new European defence model.
At the same time, Fedorov stressed that his main priority remains his work in Ukraine on projects that strengthen the country’s defence and help attract international resources.
Fedorov plans to continue meeting international partners to discuss digitalisation, defence technologies and the development of new projects.
