Most Ukrainians do not trust US President Donald Trump and consider his presidency harmful to Ukraine.

This is evidenced by the results of a poll conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology from 15 May to 3 June 2025.

According to the survey, 72% of respondents consider Trump’s presidency harmful to Ukraine. Only 16% of Ukrainians consider his policies beneficial.

The KIS notes that since February 2025, there has been a noticeable deterioration in Ukrainians’ perception of US policy.

For comparison, in December 2024, 54% of respondents considered Trump’s return to power to be positive for Ukraine. In March 2025, the share of critics rose to 73%, while only 19% of respondents remained supporters of such a development.
