The 1141st day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. From April 8 to 9, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 161 enemy attacks. The situation remains the most tense in the Pokrovsk sector, where 58 battles took place, and in the Kursk region, where 25 clashes were recorded.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy launched one missile and 91 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, used three missiles and dropped 162 drones. In addition, it carried out almost 4900 attacks, including 100 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2180 kamikaze drones to defeat them.
The aggressor carried out air strikes in the vicinity of populated areas:
- Ugroydy, Turya, Pokrovka, Miropilske, Dmytrivka, Mala Rybytsia, Krasnopillia in Sumy region;
- Zorya, Romanivka, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Zelenyi Kut, Bahatyr, Zirka, Tolstoy, Voskresenka in Donetsk region;
- Novopavlivka, Sichneve in Dnipropetrovska oblast;
- Gulyaypole, Zaporizhzhia region;
- Kozatske, Kherson region.
Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Lyman and Siversk sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled three enemy attacks near Vovchansk.
In the Kupyansk sector, five occupants’ attacks took place yesterday. Defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault near Stepova Novoselivka and Zahryzove.
In the Liman sector, the enemy attacked 17 times. He tried to advance near Hrekivka, Katerynivka, Novyi and Kolodyazy.
Four enemy assaults in the direction of Hryhorivka, Bilohorivka and near Verkhnekamianske were repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Siverskyi sector.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Pokrovsk sectors
In the Kramatorsk sector, six firefights were registered in the areas of Vasyukivka, Chasovyi Yar, Bila Hora and Kurdyumivka.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 18 attacks near Ozaryanivka, Toretsk and Leonidivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 58 aggressors’ assault and offensive actions in the areas of Kalynove, Yelizavetivka, Lysivka, Shevchenko, Zvirove, Udachne, Uspenivka, Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyarivka, Bohdanivka and Andriivka.
Novopavlivske, Huliaypillia, Kursk and other directions
In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 13 enemy attacks near Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, Dniproenergia and Burlatske.
In the Huliaypillia sector, the invaders launched three attacks in the direction of Vilne Pole and near Burlatske.
In the Orikhivsk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled four enemy attacks in the vicinity of Stepove and Lobkove.
No combat engagements were recorded in the Prydniprovsky sector yesterday.
In the operational zone in the Kursk region, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 25 attacks by Russian invaders over the past day. In addition, the enemy launched 35 air strikes using 50 guided bombs, and also carried out 323 artillery attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including seven from multiple launch rocket systems.
There were no signs of enemy offensive groups forming in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
