‘A terrible Russian ballistic missile attack on Sumy. Enemy missiles hit an ordinary city street, an ordinary life: houses, educational institutions, cars on the street… And this is on a day when people go to church,’ Zelensky said.

According to him, dozens of civilians have been killed and wounded. The President stressed that only ‘bastards’ can organise such attacks, taking lives of ordinary people. He expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

The Head of State also called on the United States, European countries and the entire world to respond appropriately: ‘Peace is impossible without pressure on the aggressor. Talks have never stopped ballistic missiles and air bombs. We need to treat Russia as a terrorist deserves.’

The rescue operation is currently underway. All necessary services are working on the spot.
