The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova handed a note of protest to the newly appointed Russian Ambassador Oleg Ozerov over Russia’s interference in the elections and the discovery of the wreckage of two Russian drones in the country’s regions.
This was reported by the Moldovan Foreign Ministry.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs protested against Russia’s “illegal interference in the elections and referendum in Moldova in order to distort their results, undermine and delegitimize the democratic process in the country.”
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has repeatedly called on the Russian authorities to immediately stop these actions and refrain from similar interference in Moldova’s internal affairs in the future,” the statement said.
Moldova also condemned the violation of the country’s airspace on November 10.
“Two Russian drones were spotted on the territory of Moldova. Our competent authorities confirm that these drones were launched from Russia,” the ministry said.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that such aggressive actions are a serious violation and an unfriendly step on the part of the Russian Federation that threatens the safety of civilians.
