Mobile shelters will be installed in Kyiv for the first time in more than 3.5 years of war. Today, October 4, the algorithm for their installation in the capital is being considered.
Vitaliy Klitschko wrote about this on Telegram.
Funds for mobile shelters will be redirected from district administrations, which the mayor accused of failing to complete a third of the planned repairs to stationary shelters with the 4 billion hryvnia allocated this year.
According to Klitschko, in recent years, the capital has allocated more than 7 billion hryvnias for shelters — these funds were used to repair almost 2,000 shelters.
The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, added that the Defense Council is currently discussing the procedure for speeding up the installation of mobile shelters and commented on Klitschko’s position.
“Mayor Klitschko changed his position on mobile shelters just before the Defense Council meeting. Right now, we are discussing how to speed up the process at the Defense Council. But so far, the best tool has been a public kick,” Tkachenko wrote.
