Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that defence industry manufacturers had received over UAH 1.5 billion in budget support to resume operations after enemy strikes. This summer, the mechanism for financing defence industry enterprises was updated, allowing funds to be quickly directed towards eliminating the consequences of shelling and resuming production.
At the same time, he said, a comprehensive plan is being developed to protect the Ukrainian military-industrial complex from future attacks. The measures envisaged include changing the geography of production, relocating and duplicating the capabilities of critically important enterprises, moving production facilities away from areas where guided missiles are used, and building underground production complexes.
Shmyhal stressed that the goal of these steps is to create safe conditions for the development of the Ukrainian defence industry and to provide soldiers with everything they need.
