On the night of 8 February, Russian troops launched a massive attack, firing 139 Shahed attack drones and imitation drones from Russian territory. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force Command.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the air attack.
As of 09:00, 67 enemy drones were destroyed in 14 regions, including Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipro and Odesa.
Another 71 imitator drones were lost without any negative consequences. However, the attack caused damage in Sumy, Poltava, Dnipro and Kyiv regions.
