        Lukashenko pardoned 31 more political prisoners

        Alexander Lukashenko has decided to pardon 31 people, convicted for the so-called “crimes of extremist orientation,” reports his press service.

        Among the pardoned are 2 women and 29 men, of whom 17 have chronic diseases, 3 are disabled, and 27 are raising children, 7 of them with many children. The names of those released have not been made public.

        It is reported that the convicts had their “main punishment” canceled, but their convictions were not expunged. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus will monitor the further “behavior” of the released, according to Lukashenko’s order.
