On the evening of 29 April, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Kharkiv, firing 16 strike drones. This was reported on 30 April by Mayor Ihor Terekhov on national television.
According to him, five districts of the city were hit. As a result of the strike, 47 residents of Kharkiv were wounded, including two children and a pregnant woman. Some of the victims are in serious condition.
A total of 85 residential buildings, including private homes, were damaged in the attack. In the Slobidska district, one of the drones hit a high-rise building, destroying apartments. Residents of the destroyed homes are being temporarily housed in dormitories.
Two hospitals were also damaged. Patients who were in rooms with broken windows were quickly transferred to other wards. The destruction of civilian enterprises and damage to power supply networks were also reported in the city.
