The commander of the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert ‘Madyar’ Brovdi, published a weekly report on Telegram about the operations of the ‘RUSZKIK HAZA’ project (from Hungarian – ‘go home, Russians’) against Russian oil refineries.
In seven days, Ukrainian drones visited four sites, causing significant damage. The strike on the former Medvedchuk-owned Novoshakhtinsk refinery in the Rostov region proved to be particularly long-lasting — the fire has been burning for over 60 hours, while the standard time for restoring the plant’s operations after damage is 48 hours.
According to Madyar, the night visit of the SBU drones to the Novoshakhtinsk plant took place on the night of 20-21 August by the GRAF group and the 14th regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
Other facilities hit by drones:
- 14 August — Lukoil in Volgograd (formerly Stalingrad). According to preliminary information, the plant’s operations have been suspended.
- 18 August — Druzhba oil refinery in the village of Nikolskoye, Tambov Region. Ukrainian units report attempts to resume operations within 48 hours, but there is no confirmation of the launch.
- 21 August — Druzhba pumping station in the village of Unecha, Bryansk region. The fire was localised, but the facility is not expected to restart for another five days.
The SBU command notes that drone operations are continuing and that the SBU’s ‘Eyes and Sting’ remain an effective tool for striking Russian logistics and critical infrastructure facilities.
