        Heat wave expected in Ukraine on Sunday

        At night on 8 June, in northwestern Ukraine, during the day in the western, Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, there will be short-term rains, thunderstorms, hail, squalls of 15-20 m/s in some areas; in the rest of the territory, no precipitation, the UkrHydrometCentre reported.

        The wind is mostly south-west, 5-10 m/s.

        The temperature at night will be 17-22°, during the day 29-34° (in the southeast of the country in some places it will be 35-37°), in the northwestern part 23-28°.

        On Monday, 9 June, at night in the western, northern and Vinnytsia regions, during the day in Sumy, most of the central, Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, in some places there will be short-term rains, thunderstorms; in the rest of the territory, no precipitation.

        South-west wind with a transition to north-west, 7-12 m/s, in the northern part in some places gusts of 15-20 m/s.

        In the western regions, the temperature will drop to 10-15° at night, 16-21° during the day, in most northern, Vinnytsia and Cherkasy regions the temperature will be 15-20° at night, dropping to 23-28° during the day; in the rest of the country, the weather will remain hot: 17-22° at night, 27-32° during the day, and in the south and east of the country, in some places, 35-37°.

        In Kyiv on Monday night, there will be short-term rain, no precipitation during the day. South-west wind with a shift to north-west, 7-12 m/s. The temperature at night will be 18-20°, dropping to 26-28° during the day.
