The Cabinet of Ministers has once again approved the draft of the new Customs Code and submitted it to the Verkhovna Rada. The document is expected to become one of the key bills in Ukraine’s European integration process.
This was reported by the Cabinet of Ministers’ press service, citing Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi.
According to the head of government, the Cabinet is resuming substantive dialogue with lawmakers on the new draft Customs Code.
“This is one of the key bills in the European integration process. I expect effective and productive work on the document together with members of parliament on each of its provisions,” Koretskyi said.
The new version of the Customs Code is intended to transform Ukraine’s customs service into a modern European-style security border.
The repeated approval and submission of the document to parliament are required by law.
