Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko said that a relaxation of the curfew is allowed in territories affected by an energy emergency.
According to her, during curfew hours citizens will be permitted to be outdoors and in public places without special passes, including shopping and entertainment centers that function as resilience points, heating points, and facilities supporting people’s livelihoods and businesses. Such locations must have heating, autonomous power supply, and stable communications. The easing does not apply to entertainment venues.
Private transport will also be allowed to operate.
Svyrydenko added that the emergency response headquarters or regional military administrations may introduce additional curfew easing measures depending on the local situation. The areas where these measures will apply will be determined by the Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Commission. Its first meeting on the issue is scheduled for tomorrow.
Security and public order will be ensured by Ukraine’s security and defense forces.
